Physical Therapy Staff

Jeanice Mitchell, MPT

Jeanice Mitchell, PT is the clinic administrator of Integrity Rehab. Jeanice graduated from Loma Linda University and has been practicing for 13 years. She has worked in a variety of settings including inpatient and outpatient orthopedic/neurologic, skilled nursing facility, long term care, and sports medicine clinics. Jeanice’s area of expertise is in woman’s health namely pelvic floor, pre and post-partum rehabilitation, and orthopedics. Jeanice is currently working on her transitional DPT (doctorate of physical therapy) through Northeastern University, BCIA-PMDB (via Biofeedback Certification Institute of America), and a PTPC via Herman-Wallace Pelvic Rehab Institute. In her free time, Jeanice enjoys playing with her 3 children, traveling, and reading.

Alicia Chaney, MSPT

Alicia earned a Double Masters Degree in Athletic Training and Physical Therapy from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Alicia has been practicing for more than six years, concentrating principally on outpatient adult orthopedic rehab. When not at work, Alicia spends time exercising, exploring the outdoors, watching sports with her husband, playing with her daughter Ella and visiting with friends and family.

Sejal Soni, MSPT, CLT

Sejal Soni graduated from Texas Women’s University with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy. She has been practicing physical therapy for 5 years and has worked in a variety of settings including outpatient, orthopedic, acute care, home health and skilled nursing. Sejal has special interest in orthopedics and lymphedema and is a certified lymphedema therapist. She is also working on her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Washington University. When she is not at work, Sejal enjoys playing with her babies, cycling with her “cycling maniac” husband, shopping, cooking, painting and photography.

Donna Worthy, MSPT

Donna graduated from Old Dominion University with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy. She practiced for over 15 years in North Carolina and Virginia. Donna’s physical therapy experience has been in geriatrics, acute care and rehabilitation, cardiac rehabilitation, home health, and pediatrics. She also has experience with early intervention aquatic therapy in both post-surgical orthopedic and stroke patients. When not at work, Donna leads women’s Bible studies, spends time with her three very active daughters and loves to travels with her husband.

Sara Khanzadeh, MSPT

Sara graduated from with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Texas Woman’s University. She has been practicing as a physical therapist for a year and a half. Sara’s experience has spanned acute care, wound care, and pediatrics. She’s a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and Health Volunteers Overseas. When Sara is off work, she likes to write, read, listen to music and travel.

Kelli Wilson, MSPT

Kelli Wilson, MSPT, comes to us from Austin, TX with 2 years of experience. Kelli graduated from Texas Women’s University with a Master’s of Science/Physical Therapy. Her prior experience includes orthopedic outpatient, acute care, wound care and pediatric outpatient. She has completed multiple education courses focused on the neck and back. Her professional memberships include APTA and TPTA. Her hobbies include quilting, spending time with her husband, Joe, and spoiling her two dogs Daisy and Britney. She is currently pursuing a transitional Doctorate of Physical Therapy.

Kristen Damery, MPT

Kristen Damery graduated from University of Oklahoma with a Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association. Kristen is also has certifications in McKenzie Course A & B. She has completed clinical rotations in outpatient, acute pediatrics and inpatient rehab settings. Pediatric physical therapy is her true passion. When she is not at work, Kristen enjoys oil/acrylic painting, cooking, running, and any outside activities.

Emily Kelso, DPT

Emily graduated in 2009 with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. As a student, Emily received valuable clinical experience from rotations involving acute, skilled nursing and orthopedic therapy. As a practicing therapist, Emily has determined manual therapy to be of special interest and intends to work towards a Manual Therapy Certification, as well as becoming an Orthopedic Certified Specialist. Emily is currently an APTA member and hopes to pursue other professional memberships in the future. Outside of work, Emily enjoys hobbies such as running, traveling, making jewelry and playing with her dog Sophie.

Deanna Teel, DPT

Deanna recently earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. However, Deanna is not new to the field of rehab; prior to attending Texas Tech, Deanna practiced as a Physical Therapy Assistant for ten years. During that time Deanna worked in numerous settings including outpatient, inpatient acute, home health and a skilled nursing facility. Deanna specializes in adult neuro rehab, pelvic floor rehab and pediatric therapy. Deanna’s professional memberships include the APTA, in which she is a section member of Pediatrics and Women’s Health. During free time, Deanna enjoys spending time with her family. Her hobbies include ballet, voice, piano, cooking and crocheting. Deanna also emphasizes the importance of physical fitness and has been a group exercise instructor since 1986.

Rachel Smith, LPTA

Rachel Smith graduated from the University of Evansville in Evansville, IN with an Associate’s degree in Physical Therapy. She has been practicing for 15 years and has worked in Indiana, New Mexico, and Texas. Rachel has experience in a variety of settings including outpatient, hospital inpatient, home health, Pre-K to 12th grade school system, pediatric clinics and nursing homes. Rachel is especially interested in pelvic floor rehab and wound care and holds a certification in Wound V.A.C. application. Outside of work Rachel enjoys reading, Sudoku and needlework. She is the CCCE (Center Coordinator for Clinical Education) for students at this facility.

Beverly Wollitz, LPTA

Beverly Wollitz graduated from McLennan Community College with an Associate’s degree in Physical Science. She has been practicing for 6 years and has experience in outpatient, home health and nursing homes. Beverly is interested in pediatrics and sports rehab. Beverly enjoys cooking, reading, photography, and playing with her 2 children.

Denise Ripley, LPTA

Denise Ripley has a Bachelors of Science from Philadelphia University, has completed training at Lauterstein-Conway massage school and is a recent graduate of the physical therapist assistant program at McLennan Community College. She has experience in outpatient, acute care, and long term care settings. Denise is specialized in Soft tissue massage and is a nationally certified massage therapist. In her free time, Denise enjoys crafts, quilting and jewelry making.

Andrea Lorenz, LPTA

Andrea Lorenz graduated from the University of Pittsburgh at Titusville with an Associate in Science Degree. She has a professional membership in the American Physical Therapy Association, as well as a certification in Medical Coding/Billing from the University of Pittsburgh. Andrea has been practicing as a physical therapist assistant for over 5 years in outpatient clinics and some hospital settings. Her area of expertise is orthopedic physical therapy. Hobbies that Andrea enjoys outside of work include boating, camping, hiking, tubing, and traveling. Andrea is anxiously awaiting her first child in the fall 2009.

Occupational Therapy Staff

Karen Connell, OTR, ATP

Karen earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Texas Woman’s University and has been practicing for 30 years. She has worked as an Occupational Therapist in schools and hospitals (in-patient, pediatrics, neonatal intensive care, and pediatric intensive care).

Karen’s expertise is in Sensory Processing Disorder, ADHD, learning disorders, seating, plagiocephaly, infant development, and positioning and mobility. She has certifications in Sensory Integration and Praxis Testing, Assistive Technology, Neonatal Behavioral Assessment Scale, The Listening Program, Neonatal Oral Motor Scale, and Loving Touch Infant Massage. Karen’s professional association memberships comprise of RESNA and AOTA.

She has many hobbies outside of work, for instance scuba diving, ski biking, traveling, swimming, riding her tractor, scrap booking and cooking. Sixteen years ago, Karen married her best friend Keith and they are going strong. Karen loves working with children, especially ones with ADHD, sensory processing disorders and learning disabilities as she faced the same challenges herself.

Speech Language Pathology Staff

Karen Venhuizen, CCC-SLP

Karen Venhuizen has been working as a speech-language pathologist for nine years, after working in the area of mental health and mental retardation. Karen has a Bachelors of Arts with a major in social work from Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa. She also has a Masters of Psychology from Texas A&M Corpus Christi; and a Master of Science in Communication Disorders from Texas A&M Kingsville. Karen is a licensed speech language pathologist in Texas and holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Karen moved with her family to central Texas from Corpus Christi. There she worked with an ENT office, acute, inpatient, outpatient, home health, and hospital rehab and early childhood intervention. Since moving to Austin, Karen has worked for the public school system and inpatient nursing home rehab. She did not find her passion until once again being connected with children. She is currently working in the area of pediatrics Monday through Thursday in Killeen, Texas. Her professional interests include oral motor therapy, including work with “horns, straws and bubbles”, and articulation/phonological/language disorders. Karen loves to spend her free time with her family, friends and four dogs.

Amy Firth, M.S. CCC/SLP

Amy received a Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Baylor University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education from University of Texas San Antonio. Amy is licensed by the state of Texas and holds the Certificate of Clinical competence awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Amy’s ten-year career as a speech pathologist has included a variety of settings such as schools, hospitals, nursing homes, and private practice. Her experience includes a wide range of disorders, including: autism, articulation, oral motor deficits, auditory processing, phonemic awareness, cleft lip and palate, down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and traumatic brain injury. She also has special interest and training in the fields of voice and stuttering disorders. Amy enjoys spending time with family, which includes her husband, son and daughter.

Nicole Kallo, M.S., CCC-SLP

Nicole earned her Bachelor of Science degree as a Teacher in Speech/ Hearing Handicapped at Hofstra University in New York. She went on to graduate with her Master of Education degree in Reading/Special-education from. Finally, Nicole gained her Master of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Baylor University. She has worked with special education since 1995, but has practiced as a speech language pathologist for six years. Settings in which she’s worked include school districts, a children’s hospital, and private clinics. Nicole’s expertise is in reading/phonological awareness. Her professional memberships include American Speech Hearing Association, Long Island International Reading Association and International Reading Association. Nicole’s hobbies include running, watching TV, playing cards and dice, playing co-ed softball league and collecting Hard Rock pins. Nicole’s family includes her husband John, and a dog and cat.

Kimberly Mitchell, M.Ed., SLPA

Kimberly Mitchell is a speech language pathology assistant. She is currently working on her Master’s in Speech Language Pathology and anticipates graduating in 2011. Kimberly received her Master’s in Education in Counseling from Tarleton State University and her Bachelor’s in Science from Southwestern Adventist University. Her professional interests include working in early childhood development, oral motor development and cleft palate cases. Kimberly and her husband are the proud parents of two children.

Kelly Arndt, MS CF/SLP

Kelly graduated in 2009 with a Master Degree of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Baylor University. As a student, Kelly received numerous clinical experiences, including a rotation at the University Clinic, a practicum at a Traumatic Brain Injury Clinic and Darnall hospital. Kelly is still exploring numerous options regarding the specialties she may pursue. In her free time Kelly enjoys kayaking, hiking, painting and playing with her two cats.
